Minecraft pixel art maker
Your picture, built as blocks you can walk up to. Not a map item.
A Minecraft pixel art maker, in Blocksmith, turns a picture you have the right to use into a wall or a floor of blocks. Drop a PNG, crop if you need to, and the preview shows the blocks before you commit. The matcher keeps hue. Dithering stops a sky becoming stripes. The result is a datapack, the same kind of install as a castle.
It does not make a map item. If you wanted a map to hang in an item frame, MapartCraft is the specialist, and the comparison says so. The sunset in the gallery was drawn for that page. The tool itself is pixel art, and the steps are how to make pixel art.
Questions
Can it convert any image?
It can convert a picture you have the right to use. A drawing made in the house is a normal input. A film still is not.
Does the picture get uploaded?
The picture is read on your computer. It is not sent unless you explicitly use a different button, the AI wish that builds a 3D shape from a photo, and only if you are 13 or over.
Is there a grid I can copy by hand?
The preview shows the blocks. The datapack places them. We don’t publish a printable grid of someone else’s art.
Mac and Windows. On a Mac, Blocksmith is notarised by Apple and opens normally. On Windows, the installer isn’t code-signed yet, so SmartScreen may say “Windows protected your PC”: choose More info, then Run anyway.
