Minecraft note block songs

A MIDI file in, a note block machine in a Java world. Bring a file you are allowed to use.

A Minecraft note block song maker, here, takes a MIDI file you already have the right to use and builds a machine that plays it in Minecraft: Java Edition. Blocksmith folds the pitches into the range a note block can play, picks an instrument the game has, and runs a redstone check so a long song does not drop a bar in silence.

It is not a library of famous songs. The only song hosted on this site is an eight-note chime written for the page. Composing note by note is OpenNBS’s job. The comparison and the note block guide say how the two tools split the work. Songs do not export to Bedrock, because a command cannot tune a Bedrock note block the way this machine needs.

Questions

Will it convert a copyrighted song?

The converter will process a MIDI you give it. You are responsible for having the right to that file. This site does not host copyrighted songs.

Does it work on Bedrock?

No. The app says so, instead of writing a Bedrock file that would not play.

Do songs cost an AI wish?

No. Songs are free and offline.

Mac and Windows. On a Mac, Blocksmith is notarised by Apple and opens normally. On Windows, the installer isn’t code-signed yet, so SmartScreen may say “Windows protected your PC”: choose More info, then Run anyway.
